WHEREAS, by direction of the Board of Commissioners (the “Board of Commissioners”) of the County of Transylvania, North Carolina (the “County”), a special bond referendum was duly called and held for said County on November 6, 2018 for the purpose of submitting to the qualified voters of said County the question hereinafter set forth, and said Board of Commissioners has received from the Transylvania County Board of Elections a certification of the results of said referendum, and has determined the result of said referendum to be as hereinafter stated;

NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of Commissioners hereby makes the following statement of the result of said referendum pursuant to The Local Government Bond Act.

(1) The number of voters registered and qualified to vote at said referendum was 26,182.

(2) The total number of voters who voted “Yes” in answer to the question,

“SHALL the order authorizing $68,000,000 of bonds plus interest to pay the capital costs of constructing, improving, renovating and equipping school facilities, including improvements at Brevard High School, Rosman High School and Rosman Middle School, and acquiring land or rights–in–land required therefor, and providing that additional taxes may be levied in an amount sufficient to pay the principal and interest on the bonds be approved?”

The total voters whoe vote "Yes"was 9,313. The total number of voters who voted “No” in answer to such question was 6,297. The question in the form submitted was APPROVED by the vote of a majority of those who voted thereon at said referendum.

Any action or proceeding challenging the regularity or validity of this bond referendum must be begun within 30 days after December, 3, 2018.
