NOTICE TO PUBLIC
BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS SEEKING APPLICANTS
The Transylvania County Board of Commissioners is seeking applications from interested citizens to serve on the Blue Ridge Community College Strategic Planning Capital Committee.
The committee will be comprised of representation from the following: Transylvania Economic Alliance, City of Brevard, Blue Ridge Community College, Transylvania County Schools, Transylvania County Commissioners, Town of Rosman, and three citizens-at-large.
The Board of Commissioners has charged the committee with reviewing the College’s Master Plan and projected needs list, evaluating possible locations for a campus that would position the college as a community asset, develop alternative options and identifying the benefits and drawbacks of each, exploring nontraditional funding streams, and reporting the committee’s findings to the Board of Commissioners. The committee will set a regular meeting schedule whereby all meetings will be open to the public.
The Board of Commissioners requires an application to be considered for appointment. Applications are available online Here. Hard copies are available at Transylvania County Administration, 101 S. Broad St., Brevard, NC. Applications should be returned to Clerk to the Board Trisha Hogan no later than Friday, November 4, 2022.
