This is to inform the public that a public hearing will be held on the proposed Transylvania County Community Transportation Program Application to be submitted to the North Carolina Department of Transportation no later than September 10, 2024. The public hearing will be held on Monday, September 9th, 2024 at 4:00 PM before the Transylvania County Board of Commissioners.

The Community Transportation Program provides assistance to coordinate existing transportation programs operating in Transylvania County as well as provides transportation options and services for the communities within this service area. These services are currently provided using a combination of NCDOT-sponsored vans and contracts with local private transportation companies. Services are rendered by the Transylvania County Transportation Department.
The total estimated amount requested for the period July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026.
