Notice is hereby given that the Blue Ridge Community College Strategic Capital Planning Committee will hold its initial meeting on Monday, April 17, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. The meeting will be held in the Multipurpose Chambers at the Transylvania County Administration Building, located at 101 S. Broad St., Brevard. In accordance with NC Open Meetings Law, the meeting is open to the public.
The Transylvania County Board of Commissioners has charged the committee with a specific scope of work, to include reviewing the college’s master plan study and projected needs, evaluating possible locations that would best position the college as a community asset, researching nontraditional funding sources, and reporting those findings to the Board. For the initial meeting, the committee will review a variety of historical data, receive a presentation on the college’s master plan study, and set a regular meeting schedule.
