Transylvania County releases a new survey today as it begins the process of identifying its next Parks and Recreation Director.
The new survey, available both in an online format as well as a physical paper version, allows citizens to weigh in on what traits they believe the next Parks and Recreation Director should have, as well as what the top priority for the department should be for the next five years. This gives citizens the opportunity to weigh in as the County Government begins deciding on next steps.
“This is an exciting time for Transylvania County’s Parks and Recreation Department as we begin to implement the master plan adopted by the Board of County Commissioners last October,” said County Manager Jaime Laughter. “It is only fitting that we start the hiring process by soliciting public input on one of our most public-facing leadership positions.”
Citizens may take this survey online at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/TCPRDirector or complete a paper copy of the survey available at one of the following locations:
• Transylvania County Administration Building at 101 South Broad Street in Brevard, NC
• Rosman Town Hall at 6 Main Street in Rosman NC
• Silvermont Senior Opportunity Center at 364 E Main Street in Brevard, NC
Transylvania County will begin accepting applications for the Parks and Recreation Director position on May 1st, 2018.
