Meeting Details:

The Board of Commissioners of Transylvania County met in regular session on Monday, September 13, 2004, 7:00 p.m., large courtroom of the Courthouse, Chairman Ray Miller presiding.  There were approximately 30 people in the audience.
 
Commissioners present: Chairman Ray Miller, Commissioners Marla Cilley, Rob Davenport, Jeff Duvall and David Guice.  Commissioner Davenport arrived at 7:03 pm.
 
Staff present:  Manager Artie Wilson, Acting Attorney Jeanne Hall, Court Sergeant Terry Whitmire, Finance Director Gay Poor, Planning and Economic Development Director Mark Burrows, Health Director Steve Smith, Child Development Director Kae Parker, Emergency Services Director David McNeill, Human Resources Director Sheila Cozart, Recreation Director Rick Pangle, Solid Waste Director Will Sagar, Transportation Director Keith McCoy, Communications Director Kevin Shook, EMS Director Bobby Cooper, Lynn Pressley and JoAnn Hamilton from Social Services, Tax Assessor David Reid, Deputy Tax Assessor Annette Raines, Debbie Walker and Jessica Aiken from the Tax Assessor’s office, Paige Capps from the Register of Deeds office, Larry Moss and Sandra Beck from IT, Deputy Sheriff Jeff Hubbard, and Clerk to Board Kimberly Conover.  Also present was commissioner candidate Dr. Carol Grahl.
