Notice is hereby given that it is the intent of the Transylvania County Board of Commissioners to donate a speed trailer to the Haywood County Sheriff’s Office. The speed trailer is no longer operable and has no value. The County Manager has declared it as surplus and it has been removed from service.
North Carolina General Statute § 160A-280 allows the County to donate surplus personal property to another governmental unit or nonprofit organization incorporated in the United States. Prior to donation, the County must post public notice of its intent to donate the property. The donation will be approved through adoption of a resolution during the regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners on March 10, 2025.
