Meeting Details:

The Board of Commissioners of Transylvania County met in special session on
Thursday, April 30, 2009 at 5:30 p.m. at the new Public Safety Facility site on Morris
Road. The purpose of the meeting was to review and discuss progress on the project and
other specific items.
Commissioners present were Lynn Bullock, Chairman Jason Chappell, Mike Hawkins
and Vice-Chairman Kelvin Phillips. Commissioner Daryle Hogsed was absent. Also
present were County Manager Artie Wilson and Project Manager Larry Reece.
Commissioners discussed the proposed sidewalk leading from Morris Road up to the new
Public Safety Facility. After reviewing the proposed layout of the sidewalk,
Commissioners instructed the County Manager to meet with staff from the City of
Brevard to explore other alternatives to constructing the sidewalk
