Transylvania County Event

Notice is hereby given that an oath of office ceremony for newly elected county officials is scheduled for Monday, December 2, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. in the Multipurpose (Commissioners) Chambers in the Transylvania County Administration Building, located at 101 S. Broad St., Brevard, NC. Following the ceremony, the Board of Commissioners will convene to elect officers for the ensuing year and approve bonds for certain county officials. The oath of office ceremony and the organizational meeting are open to the public.

Immediately following the organizational meeting, the Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing to receive public input on the 2025 Reappraisal Schedule of Values. Per N.C.G.S. 105-317(c), (1), (2), the Tax Administrator submitted the proposed true value and present-use schedules, standards, and rules for the 2025 countywide appraisal to the Board of Commissioners on November 12, 2024. The 2025 Reappraisal Schedule of Values is available for public inspection at the Tax Administration Office at 20 E. Morgan St., the Library at 212 S. Gaston St., Administration at 101 S. Broad St., and the county website at www.transylvaniacounty.org.
