Transylvania County seeks applicants from nonprofit organization partners for the FY2020 budget year. Local government units in North Carolina are authorized by law to partner with private entities to provide services to citizens and accomplish community goals. The Transylvania County Board of County Commissioners has adopted a formal nonprofit funding policy and procedure to govern those relationships and ensure the transparent and accountable expenditure of public funds. In accordance with that policy, organizations may apply annually to receive appropriations from the County government. The application, instructions and overview of the County’s strategic plan are made available here. The application window closes on March 29th, 2019.

There will be question and answer session for interested organizations on March 21st at 4 P.M. in County Administration at 101 S. Broad Street.“
