SEWAGE DISPOSAL
Permits and approvals are
issued in accordance with North
Carolina Sewage Disposal
Rules. Permits are required
for new construction, repairs of
failing systems, and approvals of
existing systems in obtaining a
building permit. Appropriate
permits must be obtained and
applicable fees paid prior to
construction or repair of any
on-site system.

Water sampling is provided upon
request from a health care
provider. Places under inspection
by the Transylvania
County Department of Public Health
are sampled routinely. Education is
available as requested.
