CRIMINAL JUSTICE PARTNERSHIP
PLAN (CJPP)
Purpose: Advisory to the Board of Commissioners; a community-based
corrections program with the focus of reducing recidivism, the number of
probation revocations, alcoholism and other drug dependencies among offenders,
and reducing the cost of incarceration to the state and county
Authority: NCGS 143B-273.10, et. seq.
Membership: Not less than 10 members; currently the CJPP has 16 members. Members serve a 3-year term (staggered), no
term limit; terms expire in March. The
chairman is elected annually by the membership.
